Job Description

Job Description A client in HSV, AL is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to support the design, development, production, sustainment, reverse engineering, and remanufacturing of rugged military‑grade electronics and automated test equipment (ATE). This role is ideal for a mid‑career engineer who enjoys hands‑on test development, problem solving, and contributing to high‑reliability defense systems. Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for rugged embedded computing systems and electronic assemblies. Develop test procedures, fixtures, and processes that ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance. Support reverse engineering activities by evaluating legacy test equipment, test methodologies, and performance requirements. Work closely with design engineers to validate new hardware, troubleshoot issues, and refine test requirements. Execute environmental, functional, and performance testing—including vibration, shock, thermal, and EMI/EMC. Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and data summaries for manufacturing, engineering, and customer review. Contribute to continuous improvement of test strategies, automation, and production processes. EE , Mechanical Engineer, Test Engineer, or related field 5+ years of experience developing and performing testing for embedded systems, electronics, or ATE Experience with automated test development using tools such as LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, or similar. Strong understanding of test instrumentation, data acquisition, and hardware interfaces. Knowledge of environmental test standards and qualification processes. Experience with reverse engineering of test methodologies or legacy DoD test systems. Familiarity with schematics, 3D models, and system‑level hardware integration. Hands‑on experience developing test fixtures or custom mechanical/electrical interfaces. Experience with manufacturing test support and production environments. Benefits
