- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Tool Designer to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop new tooling concepts and processes to improve production efficiency, quality, and safety. Utilize CAD/CAM software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of tools and fixtures. Program CNC machines using G Code for 5 Axis, lathe, and mill operations. Perform tooling and process trials, analyze results, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve tooling and process issues. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of tool designs, processes, and machine settings. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC tool design, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Proficient in G Code programming for 5 Axis, lathe, and mill operations. Extensive experience with Tool and Die design and fabrication. Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation and maintenance. Proficient in using CAD/CAM software for tool design and CNC programming. Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field is preferred.
