This position reports to:
Design Manager- R D __ The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite Your role and responsibilities: The Senior Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining high quality mechanical designs using SolidWorks to support new product development, continuous improvement, and plant/production needs.

Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's Degree (Engineering Preferred) with minimum 2 years experience OR Associate's Degree (Mechanical Design/Drafting Preferred) with minimum 4 years experience in Mechanical Design. Expertise in complex part and assembly modeling for productionready designs. Strong command of mechanical design fundamentals, including GD&T, tolerance analysis, and a variety of manufacturing processes such as die casting, machining, stamping, plastic molding, and fabrication. Proven ability to create accurate production documentation, including detailed drawings, BOMs, and engineering records, while supporting design changes and revisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for engineering analysis, data reporting, and technical presentations.Preferred Experience Includes:
SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management), SolidWorks Design Professional Certification (CSWP), FEA or simulation tools, SAP or PLM systems, and design support for electromechanical or industrial products. PMP Certification, Lean Six Sigma Certification, Working knowledge ofUL, CSA, IEEE, NEMA
regulatory compliance. Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.More about us:
