CAD CAM Engineer 2

Chandler, Arizona (Onsite)

Contract Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future Role Overview We are seeking a CAD CAM Engineer 2 to support the Mechanical and Energetics department. This role involves creating and reviewing drawing and design packages to ensure compliance with industry and military standards. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who can work within a design group to verify designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and economy of fabrication. Key Responsibilities Create and review mechanical drawings, verifying dimensions, materials, and quantities. Perform mechanical modeling using Siemens NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter. Create and revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME modeling and drawing standards. Liaise with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and some external vendors. Review tolerance analysis, hardware selection, and fitment on assembly prints. Resolve interpretation issues on drawings utilizing expertise in GD&T. Verify 3D models submitted to manufacturing. As requested, may supervise and direct the activities of staff.
Required Qualifications Technical Skills:
Proficiency in mechanical modeling using Siemens NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows. Well-versed in GD&T and ASME modeling and drawing standards.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience in creating and reviewing mechanical drawing/design packages. Experience with tolerance analysis and hardware selection.
Abilities:
Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work accurately under schedule pressure. Strong time management and organizational skills. Compensation & Benefits The anticipated pay range for this position is $25.00/hour to $47.00/hour. This position is a contract role that is intended to convert to a full-time hire, aligning with a Design Engineer 3/4 role, though conversion is not guaranteed.
