Mechanical Design Engineer -
Semiconductor Test Sockets & Interconnect Solutions Location:
Gilbert, Arizona Job Type:
Full-Time About the Position HiCon Global is seeking a motivated, talented and detail oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team developing advanced semiconductor test sockets, Burn-In sockets, silicon validation sockets, and high-performance interconnect solutions used by leading semiconductor OEMs worldwide. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to support the design, development, validation and customer deployment of these products. Responsibilities Participate in product development from concept through production release. Review product designs and analysis details for all new product developments including mechanical, electrical and thermal analysis. Work with customers to understand design requirements and ensure that new product designs meet all requirements. Support prototype builds, engineering testing, and product validation. Investigate product failures and recommend design improvements. Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to resolve technical issues. Maintain engineering documentation and support change requests Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required. Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. 2 or more years of related engineering experience with Burn-In, Test and other socket products Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals. Experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software. Ability to create and analyze engineering drawings using GD&T. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment. Additional Qualifications Experience or coursework involving any of the following is a plus: Semiconductor industry / Test and Burn-In sockets Precision mechanical assemblies Plastic injection molded and CNC machined parts Tolerance analysis Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Thermal management and heat sink and cooling solution analysis Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident About HiCon Global HiCon Global provides high-performance semiconductor test sockets, thermal management solutions, and advanced interconnect technologies to the semiconductor industry.
