Wilson & Company's Albuquerque, NM office is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer with to provide task and project management skills and to design construction plans, specifications and studies for a variety of projects. This professional will be responsible for studies and designs of facilities including federal, educational, industrial, municipal and commercial projects. Experience in HVAC and Plumbing design is required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Mentorship of junior staff. Effectively fosters relationships with team members and clients, as well as industry stakeholders and regulators. Participates in business development activities, such as; marketing, developing project win strategies, and preparing technical data for proposals and interviews. Ensure quality management with implementation of quality control standards. Creation and management of the Mechanical scope of work for the project. Oversee development of detailed design drawings Sizing, selection and layout of mechanical equipment. Develop project specifications to meet the performance requirements. Client interaction and coordination. Develop and maintain progress, quality control, schedule, staffing planning and coordination with project management including regular reporting. Coordination of communications between the project team, the engineering and design team members to assure quality of work, and that consistent technical content drawing/design packages are maintained throughout a project.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering in an ABET-accredited college or university. A minimum of 5 years of experience with mechanical design of facilities. Currently a licensed professional engineer in New Mexico or within a year of obtaining a New Mexico license. Experience with MEP software such as Revit MEP is a plus. Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus. Experience in the preparation of work plans, budgets and project schedules is highly desired. Annual Salary Range:
$84,000 - $167,000+ (based on experience)
