Job Title:
Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will lead complex mechanical design projects, develop system solutions, and ensure that engineering standards and quality benchmarks are met. Your expertise will drive the development of cutting-edge mechanical systems, from conceptualization through manufacturing, contributing to our mission of delivering advanced technological solutions. The role involves project management from initial concept through delivery, ensuring the design meets performance, cost, and schedule requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support product development, testing, and implementation will be a key aspect of this position. Responsibilities Lead complex mechanical design projects and develop system solutions. Ensure engineering standards and quality benchmarks are met. Drive the development of cutting-edge mechanical systems from conceptualization through manufacturing. Manage projects from initial concept through delivery, ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and schedule requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development, testing, and implementation. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, automation system development, and project management within a high-tech environment. Strong proficiency with CAD software, specifically SolidWorks, and familiarity with drafting standards such as GD&T. Hands-on experience with FEA tools and simulation software. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including manual and CNC machining, prototyping, and assembly techniques. Analytical skills for root cause analysis and strong project scheduling capabilities to meet deadlines efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with electrical schematics and control systems involving PLCs and Robotics is highly desirable. Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles combined with practical application skills across diverse projects. Experience with industry codes and standards to ensure compliance in design and manufacturing practices. Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing environment and may require occasional travel (15%). You will be joining a family-like company that offers growth opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
