Who You Are You're an engineer excited to integrate mechanical, electrical, process, software, and test engineering to drive R D forward. You enjoy using design thinking to put creative solutions into practice and are driven to quickly test out and iterate concepts. You appreciate that the best R D happens when scientists and engineers have world-class tools and want to be a key part of the team creating them. Responsibilities and Duties Lead the design, development, qualification, and scaleup of novel electrode and cell prototyping and testing capabilities Manage projects involving multiple functions to stay on target and keep stakeholders informed Document and train teammates on the operation and data analysis of systems and processes Proactively identify issues and support operations by continuously improving system performance Invest in our values and vision and champion them as we grow Knowledge and Skill Requirements Experience developing materials, assembly, or test processes, particularly for R D Demonstrated cross-functional project management skills Experience implementing safety and data collection/analysis best practices At least a B.S. in engineering or physical science and 5 years of hands-on industry experience; lithium-ion battery experience is a plus Experience in computer automated design (mechanical or electrical) is a plus Physical Demands and Working Conditions Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes Move items up to 30 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts Move long distances (such as from building to building) Precisely manipulate equipment and tools, such as screwdrivers and wrenches Monday
  • Friday, 9:00am
  • 6:00pm The starting base pay for this role is between $151,000 and $177,500 at the time of posting.
The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
