Share Share 13422BR Engineer II, R D Aliso Viejo, California, USA 320-Indirect Manufacturing $79,733 - $83,719 (Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand) Job Description Support development of medical device products with work including writing or verifying specifications; designing new products and fixtures; testing processes and equipment; and specifying raw materials to ensure the concepts and/or prototypes meet their requirements.

Job Duties:

1. Develop new product concepts and products 2. Provide engineering design and process development 3. Generate intellectual property; write invention disclosures 4. Supervise Assemblers, Technicians, and Specialists 5. Largely self-directed and capable of meeting project goals with moderate supervision 6. Some travel required 7. Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization 8. Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific field 2. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience 3. Experience with Design Control Deliverable to support commercial products (sustaining R D) 4. Strong written and verbal communication skills 5. Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, SolidWorks and/or CAD (SolidWorks or PRO/E proficiency required)

Desired Qualifications:

1. Advanced degree in Engineering or Scientific field 2. Sustaining design. development, and quality design of medical devices 3. Ability to read and prepare technical documentation 4. Knowledge of standard machine shop equipment, processes, and medical device manufacturing equipment 5. Knowledge of medical device and technical development 6. Working knowledge of materials used in the medical device industry 7. Experience from Engineering internship or rotation program preferred 8.
