Camarillo, CA Job Details Full-time $80,000 - $92,000 a year Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering Productivity software Equipment testing Data collection Drafting Mechanical knowledge Electronic equipment testing Full Job Description Lead Engineer Seeking an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join the Evolving Resources, Inc. team at our Camarillo, CA office. This team supports daily testing, repair, performance, improves reliability, and executes projects to improve the Safety, Quality, Performance of Navy and Marine assets. The individual will report to the Program Manager and receives direction in the form of general project and program objectives.
Position Summary:
Requires a motivated, detail-oriented Engineer to support testing, repair and technical documentation efforts for military aircraft systems. Tasking may include the operation of electronic test equipment to support fleet readiness testing and engineering investigations. The Lead Engineer position will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining all CAD drawings. The position will assist with assigning the goals and timelines and working with the Engineering team members to accomplish those goals.Essential Functions:
Initiate design, testing, develop, optimize, repair and problem solve manufacturing and converting processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations. Create, revise and update documentation of procedures, instruction manuals, and reports. Provide flight test engineering support for SUAS sustainment efforts. Provide advisory and draft documentation support, including initial planning and operations through execution, data collection, reduction and analysis, report writing and recommendations. Act as a project engineer or site manager as required. Attend meetings and provide input on project statuses. Provide advisory / review / draft documentation support for Test Reports generated by the Government Support Test and Safety Plan approvals, communicating Program Office priorities, working the daily scheduling issues and facilitating QRC efforts. Interface with the prime weapon system Contractor and vendors. Provide advisory assistance in the review of modification packages for air vehicles, GCSs, and other support equipment. Facilitate scheduling of unique test resources (e.g., range, weapons, etc.). Advise in support of long-term scheduling of flight test activities. Provide advisory assistance in the review of proposals for validity of flight test requirements. Support testing, recommending priorities for government consideration, resource planning and constraints, and developing draft inputs into deficiency identification and correction. System configurations and troubleshooting to support required sorties. Assess and / or evaluate both subjective and objective data acquired through test execution. Ensure all timelines and assignments are met with 100% accuracy.Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, with an emphasis in mechanical or electrical engineering. 5 years of increasing experience and responsibility in an engineering position. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance Must be proficient in the MS Office productivity suite of software 2D/3D drafting - AutoCAD 2010+ Ability to read and generate accurate mechanical drawings Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet timelines Ability to prioritize and respond to changing direction, as necessitated by emerging customer requirements. Must possess test and evaluation experience Be a problem solver Have a mechanical mind to think of solutions to better design processes and equipment and identify causes and solutions for equipment.
