Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative mechanical products by supporting design, analysis, and documentation efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in mechanical engineering, CAD modeling, and product development within a collaborative environment focused on cutting-edge manufacturing and engineering solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. Responsibilities Assist with designing transformer enclosures and mechanical components using SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Review and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and requirements. Develop and verify customer and manufacturing drawings. Ensure designs meet applicable specifications, standards, quality requirements, and manufacturing needs. Participate in internal design review meetings. Collaborate with electrical engineers, sales personnel, and production teams. Provide support to production teams when questions or design-related issues arise. Consider production feedback and apply it to future designs and improvements. Ensure spatial and structural compatibility of mechanical components. Help maintain accurate and high-quality engineering documentation. Manage priorities and assignments to meet project deadlines. Skills Bachelor's degree required; Engineering degree or related field preferred but not required. No previous work experience required—we welcome recent graduates and entry-level candidates. Knowledge of or experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Motivated, eager to learn, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
