We are currently searching for a skilled R&D Technician to join our fast-paced Product Development - AiS (Air Intake Systems) development team. This position assists with the development of aftermarket automotive performance products and will build, install and evaluate prototypes, conduct performance and durability testing, and support engineers in refining designs to ensure quality, fitment and improved vehicle performance. The successful candidate will have automotive repair experience and hands-on automotive mechanical knowledge. preferably with air intakes, and computer skills for data documentation. Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned): Works with product development team on assigned projects in support of AiS product development for various vehicle platforms. Works hands-on in the shop to install, test and validate new automotive products. Assembles, fits and modifies parts for evaluation. Conducts testing on prototype application installs, including dynamometer (Dyno) testing. Enters relevant project data into database and completes project documentation as required. Visits vendors / suppliers to deliver / pickup vehicles, or parts, may run errands for shop supplies or customer requirements as needed.
