Senior Mechanical Engineer

Position Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) Experience in the aerospace, automotive, or industrial sector is preferred Deep understanding of allowables, materials (metallics and composites), boundary conditions, and margin associated with tools like FEA and CFD Metallics- complex design using 4XXX, 4XX, A572, A36, steels as well as 2024, 6061 and 7075 aluminum Composites
- complex design with fiberglass and carbon fiber lamina and laminate Bonding
- complex design principles for injection and surface structural bonding Fasteners
- Detailed fastener analysis techniques for highly loaded slip-critical joint design Fatigue and Ultimate
- Complex design and verification methods at system-level (vehicle-level) for fatigue, stiffness, and ultimate strength driven design.
