THE WORK
This position as Support Equipment (SE) Supervisor for the F-35 SE Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Team will provide supervisory oversight to a team of roughly 3 employees supporting F-35 SE sustainment at Edwards AFB, CA.
Managerial functions include:
- Daily engagement with employees on site supporting Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) SE
  • Carry out annual performance reviews on all employees
  • Daily / weekly overview and approval of employee timecard submittals
  • Administrative actions for any given employee in the organization
  • Planning and execution of staffing actions for new or replacement employees on staff
  • Host weekly employee engagement discussions
  • Mentoring of employees seeking job or career progression - Liaise with LM Human Resource representatives to address all employee-related matters that are not easily resolved without HR involvement
  • Carry out recognition actions for high performing employees as well as disciplinary actions for various circumstances of unsatisfactory employee performance
  • Review and approve travel authorizations for employees both stateside and abroad
  • Lastly, be the focal point of contact between the CLS team and SE FSR employees on site for Edwards OT&E and the SE Sustainment Assoc.
Manager in Ft. Smith, AR. Job position requires this role to operate on site at Edwards AFB, CA full time. Candidates applying for this role must live within proximity to Edwards AFB or be willing to relocate to the local area near the base. The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and overall management of both F-35 SE, as well as tool room-based SE. Conducts daily delegation of team members to execute daily work requirements as well as perform occasional nonstandard maintenance on equipment based on nature of maintenance need. Oversee and manage/maintain appropriate maintenance, inventory, and repair logs. Uses a variety of hand, power, and test equipment. Frequently enters data into the Logistics Management System to document any maintenance action performed on equipment. Successful candidate and the team will be required to conduct familiarization of equipment theory and operation to new employees in the same job position, or to the customer during day-to-day operations. May require infrequent travel to other F-35 locations to participate in equipment training classes, and in support of short-term regional deployments in support of customer flight test ops. Candidate selected for this role is expected to become familiarized on the full spectrum of the F-35 SE product line, current operational processes and procedures for field operations sites as well as SE sustainment operations with the SE integrated product team in Ft. Worth TX. Must be able and willing to adapt to the constantly changing operational characteristics of the F-35 SE Sustainment operation as program needs mature over time. Keen ability to balance one's workload coupled with a leadership mindset of integrity, compassion and unwavering professionalism are essential traits being sought for this role. Job may require flexible work schedule to provide coverage for both employee & customer needs, to include possibility of weekend work requirements. Local customer operations at Edwards AFB will require successful candidate to participate in short term customer support assignments at off-site locations that may include work onboard US Naval vessels in support of operational test requirements. US Citizenship is required. ## Basic Qualifications
  • Managerial background in military or civilian ground support equipment sustainment operations.
  • Hands-on Aerospace Ground Support Equipment maintenance experience or commensurate related experience.
  • Ability to frequently lift / pull / push equipment over 50lbs
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a local flightline drivers certification.
  • Capable of working in hazardous flightline environment Candidate must be willing and able to support operations on both First Shift or Second Shift, depending on shop / customer needs.
  • Proficient using MS Office Software including; Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.
  • Experience using engineering drawings and technical data.
  • Familiar with work conditions on military flightline environments.
  • Proficient in industry standard maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards.
  • Candidate must have a DoD Secret security clearance, active. ## Desired Skills
  • Prior military flightline maintenance experience in
AGE / GSE
sustainment preferred, including F-35 SE experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Keen ability to be a self-starter.
  • Certified in Refrigerant service and reclamation
CFC/HCFC
Refrigerant Processing Certificate
  • Support Equipment data management experience;
ALIS, LSMES, TABLEAU
  • Familiarity with DoD maintenance manuals;
  • Experience with military standard maintenance practices
  • Strong personal work ethic and maintenance quality mindset.
  • Highly computer literate
  • Experience using engineering drawings and technical data.
  • Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
