San Francisco, CA About the role As a Mechanical Engineer on our battery team, you'll lead the design and analysis of lithium-ion battery packs across the full program lifecycle- concept, prototyping, analysis, modeling, drafting, manufacturing, and test
- helping bring our portfolio to market across multiple industries. What you'll do Lead product design and development for our battery packs Drive program-critical decisions across engineering teams Identify core issues, develop solutions, and communicate impacts internally and externally Create and deliver CAD models and presentations to customers Develop supporting documentation
- BOMs, assembly and installation procedures Ensure compliance with standards and battery pack performance requirements Work cross-functionally to verify battery hardware and software meet system needs What you bring 3+ years of system design for lithium-ion battery packs or related technologies 5+ years of engineering experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial sectors Experience designing, developing, and testing battery systems for electrified propulsion or stationary storage Strong technical communication and demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving Basic understanding of UL or similar certification processes Proficiency in CAD (Catia or Solidworks) and analysis packages (FEMAP, NASTRAN, or equivalent) BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar Export-controlled role: candidates must be a U.
