Conceive, design, develop, and analyze new and improved products. Improve upon current designs by reducing cost and increasing robustness and reliability. Communicate project status through reports, presentations, and design reviews. Perform project tasks to ensure that projects are completed within acceptable time and cost targets, making design trade-offs to ensure the lowest overall cost, highest reliability, and best performance. Provide capable project/task leadership and collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team. Work with vendors to source and evaluate purchased components and with manufacturing to produce or assemble manufactured components and assemblies. Support product test development and execution. Participate in and support engineering projects across our other Allegion Hollow Metal manufacturing sites located in Southern CA (Chino & Pico Rivera). What You Need toSucceed:
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering (Required) 5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in new product development (Required) Proficiency with engineering tools including FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis & DFM/DFA (Required) Understanding of Hollow Metal Doors & Frames manufacturing processes, including: Sheet Metal Fabrication (Cutting & Punching), Roll Forming & Press Brakes, Core Bonding & Pressing, Welding & Assembly, Hardware Preparation & Integration, Finishing & Paint Systems, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)- (Required) Ability to perform structural and motion calculations and identify appropriate materials, processes, and designs (Required) CAD modeling and drafting proficiency, SolidWorks (Preferred) Design for Six Sigma proficiency (Preferred) Why Work for Us?

Compensation:
This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The expectedBase Salary Range:
$122,700- $141,700.
