About Our Client Our client is an innovative automotive services company dedicated to changing the future of transportation. They are committed to innovation, quality, and the user experience, and they work with various industries to create groundbreaking solutions that address changing urban needs. About the Role As a Test Engineering Technician, you will support advanced hardware manufacturing operations by setting up, running, and troubleshooting tests on advanced sensor and compute hardware systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring hardware meets strict performance, reliability, and manufacturability standards during prototype and production phases, all within a collaborative and quality-driven environment.
What you will be doing:
Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to set up, execute, and debug tests on prototype and production-related assemblies. Conduct final testing and calibration of components, sub-assemblies, and completed hardware systems to ensure performance and reliability standards are achieved. Perform detailed failure analysis, diagnose root causes, complete repairs, and generate comprehensive failure analysis reports. Work closely with engineers during prototype development and design reviews to provide manufacturability and test feedback. Create, review, and refine test procedures and documentation to drive continuous improvement. Support the development and maintenance of automated test fixtures, including associated software and firmware. Maintain calibration of laboratory equipment and ensure proper upkeep of tools and test stations. Accurately interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions to successfully complete assignments.
About You Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent practical experience. 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in hardware testing or related technical roles. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings. Experience assembling and repairing wiring harnesses. Demonstrated proficiency using EE laboratory equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience reworking PCBAs. Hands-on experience with shock, vibration, thermal, and IP testing. EMC testing experience. Experience with automotive ECU testing. Familiarity with Linux command line environments.
