Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join Tesla's Seating Engineering team. This engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems that support Tesla's vehicle seating platforms. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure products meet performance, safety, quality, manufacturability, and cost requirements while supporting the development of next-generation vehicle programs. - Design and develop mechanical systems and components for vehicle seating platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate seating designs into overall vehicle architecture
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure design performance, durability, and reliability
- Analyze test results and iterate on designs based on feedback from testing and production teams
- Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges related to seating systems
- Support products throughout the full development lifecycle from concept through production launch
- Work closely with manufacturing, validation, and supplier teams to ensure successful implementation of design.

- Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies
- 1-3 years experience.
- CAD Design, FEA, GD&T
- Hands-on experience building, fabricating, prototyping, or testing physical systems
- Ability to communicate engineering concepts through hand sketches and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
- Automotive engineering experience preferred, with exposure to seating systems considered a plus
