Round 1: 1-hour virtual technical screen Round 2: 3-hour onsite panel interview Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Simulation Engineer to support the analysis, validation, and optimization of complex equipment, subsystems, and components through advanced computational modeling and simulation. This role will focus on reacting-flow CFD, species transport, chemical reaction modeling, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, structural analysis, and multiphysics simulations. The successful candidate will develop validated physics-based models that drive product development, improve performance, and support engineering decisions across a variety of highly technical applications. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in computational engineering with strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, reaction kinetics, and numerical modeling. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute advanced CFD, FEA, and multiphysics simulations to support product development and design optimization. Perform thermal, fluid flow, structural, chemical reaction, and species transport analyses. Build and maintain physics-based models involving reaction kinetics, gas-phase chemistry, surface reactions, and mass transport. Conduct reacting-flow simulations involving coupled fluid flow, heat transfer, mass transfer, chemical reactions, and material interactions. Develop, calibrate, simplify, and validate computational models using experimental data and engineering test results. Evaluate design concepts and support engineering decision-making through simulation-driven insights. Analyze process sensitivity, performance limitations, and optimization opportunities. Support development of process chambers, fluid delivery systems, thermal management solutions, advanced materials applications, and related technologies. Design validation methodologies, feasibility studies, test plans, and correlation activities. Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to improve product performance and reliability. Present technical findings, simulation results, recommendations, and design tradeoffs to engineering leadership and project teams. Generate technical reports documenting assumptions, model development, validation results, and recommendations. Required Qualifications Master's degree or Ph.D.
