Sustain, optimize, and improve semiconductor equipment performance and reliability in Dry Etch manufacturing area: Applied Materials Decoupled Plasma Source (DPS) Metal, Applied Materials DPS Poly, Applied Materials EMAX Oxide, Applied Materials MxP+ Oxide, Applied Materials MxP Poly, and Applied Materials Super-E platforms. Lead all maintenance activities on assigned equipment and provide technical guidance and assistance to area technicians on optimizing preventive maintenance. Eliminate reoccurring equipment failures by devising new approaches and developing solutions to complex problems. Work with Process, Production, Procurement, and Facility groups to achieve and exceed assigned goals in the areas of equipment availability, Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). Work with equipment vendors or second source companies to modify parts and improve equipment performance. Evaluate new equipment and make recommendations to meet company's business objectives. Support Process Engineering group on identifying opportunities to improve yield and maintain equipment process parameters within specifications. Identify and implement sustaining capital upgrades that can increase tool performance, with associated ROI justification. Assess process equipment assemblies and recommend/implement design changes focused on tool performance improvement.
