Design Engineer Amphenol Aerospace United States, California, Pasadena Aug 19, 2026 The Role•Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking aDesign Engineerto work remote from a home office. The Design Engineerwill make design layouts and production drawings, assuring form, fit, and function of components through dimensional studies, and correlate engineering data to customer specifications. The key responsibilities of thisDesign Engineerinclude, but are not limited to: Prepares designs and specifications, assists in generation of layouts
Interfaces with other departments for the manufacturing and testing of samples
Interfaces with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer specifications
Possess a working knowledge of PTC Creo and Windchill
Ability to make drawings for production and customers
Coordinates the manufacturing of customer prototypes
Performs the functions required to process estimate requests and marketing product requests
Reviews customer documents for compliance with AAO documents and if necessary, prepares new designs to conform to these documents
Keeps supervision informed of status of all activities on a periodic basis
Works closely with the BDM and Product Managers of various Business Units.
Salary:

Amphenol Aerospace:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Experience in design or design engineering
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Creo is preferred but not required
Communications with customers, marketing, manufacturing, quality, process, purchasing, and experimental personnel
Prepares and checks drawings as required and process changes
Performs engineering investigations of manufacturing/quality problems
Works from either written or oral instructions, with a minimum of supervision
Works collaboratively with others on the design engineering team to accomplish required tasks to support the interests of the business
Ability to maintain dedicated focus on intricate details of engineering designs
Willingness to contribute extra effort in support of critical business opportunities
Travel as necessary (air and car), up to 50%
