• Pasadena, CA 91105 Role Overview VenHub is a startup paving the way for smart autonomous physical stores to offer a safe, seamless 24/7 shopping experience using robotics.

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Engineers to join our team on-site in Pasadena, CA.

Technical Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and integrate robotic hardware with the usage of sensors, actuators, PCBs, custom hardware, and off the shelf hardware. Perform structural, thermal, and vibration testing + analysis on new robotic hardware Create detailed and technically accurate documentation for robotic hardware and systems Maintain a safe work environment by following industry standards and best practices collaborate with software and production teams to better integrate, optimize, and iterate on mechanical systems

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 2+ years of proven professional experience in mechanical design, electro-mechanical design, and robotics Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) Experience in DFM Strong fundamental understanding of engineering principles such as: Engineering statics, Solid Mechanics, Dynamics of rigid systems, Materials, and Electronics / Circuits. Experience in a FEA package (Ansys preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in large scale DFM, manufacturing methods, and prototyping methods such as:

CNC, SLA/FDM

printing, Sheetmetal, Aluminum Extrusions, and welding) Knowledge of electromechanical components / integration (DC motors, Basic circuitry, Sensors, Solenoids, Stepper motors, etc.) Familiarity with basic mechanical power transmission methods Experience with mechanical design in robotics, automation, or similar hardware products Intermediate to advanced level of knowledge using an FEA package Experience with basic electronics packaging, enclosure design, and wiring harness design Why VenHub?
