Shift:
1st Shift Job Description We are developing a revolutionary, low-cost single-molecule DNA sequencer with the potential to significantly improve lives through earlier disease screening and enhanced cancer diagnostics. By combining biological science with integrated circuit technology, this innovation aims to transform healthcare outcomes. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the development of consumable fluidic devices at our Santa Clara location. The ideal candidate will have an educational and/or professional background in mechanical or process engineering and will contribute to a variety of engineering and laboratory activities. Key Responsibilities Support flowcell manufacturing, process development, and assembly Assist senior engineers with design work using SolidWorks Perform dimensional and mechanical measurements, including data analysis and reporting Conduct surface metrology and characterization Execute component testing, quality checks, and visual inspections Prepare samples for external analysis Manage inventory of components and subcomponents, including shipping and receiving Provide timely support across multiple engineering activities to meet project needs Qualifications & Skills Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field from an accredited institution 0-2 years of professional experience (hands-on lab experience preferred) Knowledge or experience in microfabrication, microfluidics, or materials science is a plus Proficiency in SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or equivalent tools Familiarity with metrology or microscopy equipment is a strong advantage #WCH Pay:
$52.00- $72.
