Job Description

Electrical Design Engineer - CATIA / High Voltage / Wire Harnesses We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Design Engineer to support the design, development, prototyping, and manufacturing of advanced electrical systems and components. The ideal candidate has experience with CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE, wire harness design, high-voltage electrical components, and 3D/2D CAD modeling . This position involves working closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to develop reliable, cost-effective electrical solutions. Candidates with experience in automotive, motorsports, aerospace, or related engineering environments are especially encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical components, subsystems, wire harnesses, and high-voltage electrical systems. Create and modify 3D models, 2D engineering drawings, and electrical component designs using CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE. Support electrical harness routing, component packaging, and system integration. Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up analyses, and design evaluations. Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), technical drawings, and engineering documentation. Participate in prototype development, assembly trials, testing, and manufacturing validation. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve design for manufacturability (DFM), assembly efficiency, and product quality. Work with suppliers and vendors to resolve technical issues and support component development. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical integration challenges. Participate in engineering design reviews and cross-functional technical discussions. Ensure designs meet performance, cost, quality, and manufacturing requirements. Support project schedules, engineering deliverables, and technical problem-solving activities. Travel as needed for supplier visits, testing, manufacturing support, or track activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 3-5+ years of electrical design engineering experience , including relevant high-voltage systems and wire harness design. Proficiency with
CATIA V5, CATIA
V6, or 3DEXPERIENCE . Experience developing 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings. Knowledge of electrical components, wire harness routing, and electrical system integration. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, develop BOMs, and perform tolerance stack-up calculations. Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, design processes, and manufacturing considerations. Experience supporting prototypes, assembly processes, or manufacturing activities. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Willingness to travel as required for project support. Preferred Qualifications Electrical design experience in the automotive, motorsports, or aerospace industries. Experience with high-voltage electrical component packaging and integration. Familiarity with electrical harness manufacturing and assembly processes. Experience collaborating with suppliers on engineering design changes and component development. Exposure to prototype builds, manufacturing trials, or vehicle testing environments. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate combines strong CAD design capabilities with practical electrical engineering knowledge. They are comfortable working directly with prototypes, manufacturing personnel, suppliers, and engineering teams to solve technical challenges and bring electrical designs into production. We are particularly interested in engineers who have worked with CATIA-based electrical design, high-voltage components, wire harnesses, and electromechanical systems . Apply today if you have a background in electrical design engineering and enjoy working on technically challenging, hands-on engineering projects.
