full-time About the role We're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to drive the design and development of advanced mechanical systems from concept to production. You'll work closely with our electrical, optical, photonics, and systems teams to build reliable, manufacturable, high-performance products. What you'll do Own mechanical design of optoelectronic enclosures and complex assemblies from concept to production Create 3D CAD models, drawings, assemblies, and BOMs for optoelectronic packages Perform structural and modal analysis (FEA) Drive DFM/DFA with internal teams and external vendors Support prototype builds, testing, and system integration Solve precision alignment, humidity and condensation, and sealing challenges Maintain thorough engineering and project documentation Manage CAD data and revision control through PDM Required BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 3 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM Solid grasp of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and FEA Hands-on prototyping with shop tools and 3D printers Experience working cross-functionally in multidisciplinary teams Preferred Startup or fast-paced product development experience Background in optics, photonics, LiDAR, or precision alignment Electronics packaging / PCBA integration IP-rated and EMI shielded enclosure design About SiLC Join us at our cutting-edge 4D vision sensor company based in Monrovia, CA, where we're revolutionizing the field of machine vision.
