Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, related fields, or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in mechanical infrastructure systems. 10 years of experience with design, commissioning, and construction of cooling/heating/power generation systems. 10 years of experience with building services design, including HVAC, fire protection, fuel systems, generation systems, and plumbing designs. 10 years of experience with ICC code suite with focus on
IMC, IECC, IFC, ASME B31
piping codes, NFPA, and relevant ASHR.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a Professional Engineering (PE) license. Experience in applying data center technology. Proficiency with SQL, Python, and C++. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Investigate next-generation mechanical systems to align with company long-term strategies by validating with first principles thermodynamic and heat transfer principles. Innovate technology that can be used advantageously in data centers such as cooling plants, heat exchangers, pressure exchangers, CDUs, fans, fan coils and advanced controls systems. Lead the insertion of new technologies by collaborating with core engineering and operations teams during development. Create system-level concepts and schematic designs, carrying them through concept validation in collaboration with other hardware and data center engineers. Author white papers to evaluate technologies from first principles of engineering combined with techno-economic evaluations.
