Job Summary:
T his is an exciting role in an innovative, high-growth defense technology company . The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience with developing automated test benches and special test equipment for high performance production hardware. In this role, you will work closely with a talented engineering team to design, produce, and support test systems and test procedures to enable the fast and automated production/test of fieldable products.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and support sophisticated test systems to test high-volume and high-performance RF, digital, and power electronics in a production environment Work closely with system and design engineers to create test requirements and criteria to sell-off system/subsystem requirements Work closely with manufacturing engineers to triage yield issues of production hardware, provide guidance on hardware disposition/troubleshooting, and develop test system maintainability plans such as calibration procedures Run campaigns to qualify hardware under various environmental conditions Support fast prototyping by designing and building engineering test sets for investigation purposes
Basic Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field Minimum 2 years of experience in Test Engineering or an advanced degree without experience Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment Previous experience with designing and troubleshooting automated test benches for various types of hardware Familiarity with electrical test and measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies Previous experience with environmental acceptance and qualification test plans Strong documentation skills to track and analyze root cause of non-conforming hardware Strong test plan and requirements writing skills Good written and oral communication skills Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Ability to cover the entire test system lifecycle independently US Citizen or Permanent Resident (future clearance may be required)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Good understanding of RF, power, and digital engineering concepts Experience working with RF test and measurement equipment such as: VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, High-Speed Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, AutoCal Modules, Power Amplifiers Comfortable with object-orientated programming such as C++, C, Python Experience with software development workflow using Github Experience with PCB design and using design tools such as Altium Experience with CAD design and using design tools such as Solidworks Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping Experience with
VISA/SCPI
commands
