Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a local Defense Firm's Electrical Test Design organization. This individual will be responsible for designing complex mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and electromechanical systems that enable product validation, manufacturing, and production testing for advanced electronic hardware. This engineer will partner closely with electrical, test, manufacturing, and product development teams to create robust test fixtures and enclosures that integrate electronics into mechanical assemblies. Responsibilities include designing PCBA and product-level test fixtures, supporting prototyping and fabrication efforts, developing thermal management solutions, and driving Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical designer with strong experience packaging electronics into mechanical systems. They should be comfortable designing sheet metal and machined components, developing enclosure solutions around PCBAs, and considering thermal, vibration, shock, manufacturability, and scalability requirements throughout the design process.
