Test Engineer

Job Title:

Test EngineerJob Description The Test Engineer will be responsible for translating product requirements into test strategies that ensure reliability, durability, and overall product performance. This role is hands-on and involves working closely with engineers and technicians to build and execute test systems. Responsibilities + Develop and execute test plans for product performance and reliability. + Design and build automated test systems using robotics and control hardware. + Perform reliability testing including HALT, HASS, and accelerated life testing. + Analyze large datasets and generate reports using Excel and other tools. + Support root cause analysis using test and warranty data. + Collaborate with engineering and product teams on testing requirements. + Maintain documentation and test records within PLM or test systems. + Communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Essential Skills + Experience in reliability testing and product testing. + Automation and system development skills. + Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Excel. + Experience testing physical consumer products. + Hands-on experience with building and running test systems. + Familiarity with automation hardware such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and PLCs. + Ability to translate product requirements into test plans. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS in Electrical Engineering preferred, but flexible for non-degreed candidates with strong hands-on experience. + 3-10 years of experience in test engineering. + Strong mechanical/electrical system understanding. + Experience working with lab technicians and cross-functional teams. + Ability to manage multiple testing projects simultaneously. Work Environment The role is based in an on-site lab environment with hands-on testing. Standard working hours are approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM, with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week. The position involves close collaboration with engineers, technicians, and product teams. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Vista, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $72500.00 - $113740.00/yr.
