Job Summary:
Support sales team with mechanical designs, AutoCAD, and estimating. Prepare estimates, develop drawings, review plans and specifications in support of accurate scope coverage and related pricing. Support sales team with submittals, vendor pricing, and technician support for troubleshooting in the field.
Primary Responsibilities/Duties:
Develop AutoCAD drawings for mechanical system installations. Prepare cost estimates including labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs. Review plans and specifications to determine scope of work. Take-off material and provide accurate quantity surveys. Adjust labor production factors based on degree of difficulty. Participate and lead bidding processes in a collaborative manor to get buy in from the team. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. Conduct conceptual estimating in support of budget proposals. Promote engineer/build activities and reach out for support and buy in as needed from the team. Develop value engineering / energy efficiency options with recommendations based on cost, engineering, equality, energy savings, and availability of materials. Prepare, augment, and get approval on required mechanical drawings. Maintain files of working documents and communicate with Install Coordinator to set up a new job. Order proper materials & equipment for a successful start to a new project sold. Preform kick off meeting and job walk for all new projects sold with the assigned Install Supervisor. Support the install team and other department personnel as required. Approve and / or support on pricing change orders found on projects. Responsible for the completion of all close out documentation for completed projects. Support with progress & final billing invoices along with final review of project documentation. Sales Manager Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering or Industry experience in the same or similar field Commercial & Residential MEP background and estimating knowledge Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications Knowledge of building materials, engineering standards and codes Advanced proficiency interfacing with technology, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit. Ability to interpret computerized cost data, systems and load calculation programs Project management skills; ability to manage internal customer, perceptions and expectations Proficient with planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of projects Strong analysis and problem-solving skills to resolve complex engineering problems Excellent communication and listening skills Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision Capable of maintaining a high energy level to handle our dynamic, fast-paced workload Ability to deal diplomatically effectively with internal and external customers. Possesses a valid driver's license and willing to travel to consult with technicians & customers within territory. Compensation • $60K-$100
