Must-Haves Experience:
6+ years of CAD drafting and design experience 5-6+ years working in the bulk material handling industry Proven expertise creating detailed structural and mechanical drawings Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering project environments
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) Working knowledge of SolidWorks and Inventor Strong understanding of fabrication drawings, layouts, and schematic drawings Ability to interpret technical reports, engineering specifications, and design documentation

Excellent coordination skills with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, vendors, and clients Strong problem-solving abilities and design innovation mindset Commitment to quality, accuracy, and adherence to project schedules What You'll Do You'll serve as a critical technical contributor supporting large-scale material handling systems from concept through fabrication. Working alongside engineers and project teams, you'll translate complex engineering requirements into precise, buildable designs that keep critical industrial operations running.
Design & Modeling:
Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for bulk material handling systems and equipment Create fabrication drawings, layouts, and schematic drawings ready for manufacturing release Perform dimensional calculations and layout verification to ensure proper fit and configuration Apply good engineering practices while contributing design improvements and innovative solutions
Project Execution:
Gather project requirements and prepare drawings for fabrication release and customer approval Review, revise, and update drawings to meet accuracy standards and project compliance Support structural and mechanical engineering teams using established drafting standards Maintain project schedules and ensure drawing quality throughout all deliverables
Collaboration & Leadership:
Coordinate directly with clients, vendors, engineers, and project managers during project execution Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, CAD technicians, and interns Contribute problem-solving ideas and design feedback that enhance project outcomes Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Experience with Advance Steel Bilingual capabilities in Spanish, German, or Italian Compensation Starting salary around $102K+ , with final compensation based on overall experience and technical background.
