Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead complex engineering projects involving custom-designed industrial equipment. This role is responsible for managing the engineering and design phase of projects, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry codes, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise, project leadership, and engineering analysis skills to guide multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-quality engineering packages for demanding industries such as energy, aerospace, heavy manufacturing, and advanced industrial systems. Key Responsibilities Lead the engineering and design phase of complex technical projects from concept through completion. Review and interpret customer technical specifications and translate them into actionable engineering plans. Develop and manage engineering design plans , including calculations, technical reports, and documentation. Coordinate with design teams to ensure engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation meet project requirements. Perform advanced engineering analysis and calculations to validate system and equipment designs. Select and size mechanical equipment, components, and instrumentation for project applications. Prepare and review datasheets, specifications, and procurement documentation . Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and quality management systems . Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers , providing technical leadership and support. Track project progress, adjust technical strategies as needed, and ensure on-time project delivery . Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline. 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience , preferably in engineered equipment, industrial systems, or heavy manufacturing. Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards such as: ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (Sections
II, VIII, IX
)
ASME B31.3
Process Piping AWS Welding Codes Structural codes such as IBC or AISC Experience performing engineering calculations, technical analysis, and equipment design . Proficiency with engineering software such as: SolidWorks Simulation AutoPIPE Advanced
COMPRESS
(Codeware) or similar tools Experience working within Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as:
ASME NQA-1
(preferred)
AS9100 ISO 9001
Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure. Experience designing equipment for high-specification or regulated industries . Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and mentoring junior staff . Key Skills Advanced engineering analysis and problem-solving Technical leadership and mentoring Project planning and coordination Strong written and technical communication Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
