Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing industrial manufactured products for a variety of OEM & Industrial applications. This role focuses on optimizing product performance, cost, and manufacturability while collaborating with global cross-functional teams to support product line success.

Compensation :

$95,000 - $115,000 base salary + Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, 6% 401k match, 3 weeks PTO. Key Responsibilities Design and optimize industrial product lines for performance, cost, and manufacturability. Develop and maintain global product design standards. Plan and manage global design projects, including schedules, deliverables, and business case execution. Lead prototyping, validation testing, and failure analysis. Prepare technical documentation and provide engineering support to commercial teams. Apply engineering and Six Sigma tools such as SPC, FMEA, and DOE for problem-solving and process improvement Broad knowledge of mechanical design principles and integration with related disciplines. Understanding of market standards, competitive differentiation, and best practices. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, from concept development to completion. Strong analytical skills for experimental design, data analysis, and problem formulation. Effective communication and collaboration across global and cross-functional teams. Capable of leading small to moderate projects and mentoring team members.

Qualifications Seeking:

5-7 years of experience in product design, development, prototyping, and testing. HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in CAD software (PTC Creo preferred). Experience with hydraulic quick-disconnect couplings or mechanical design preferred. Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis). Strong background in clean-sheet design and problem-solving tools (SPC, FMEA, DOE). Hands-on approach to engineering and product development. Willingness to travel 10-20%.
