Position:
The Quality Department is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization's Quality Management System (QMS). This position supports quality assurance initiatives, process improvement efforts, supplier quality management, and operational excellence programs to ensure compliance with customer expectations, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures. The Quality Engineer / Quality Specialist plays a key role in driving quality improvements across the organization by supporting standardized processes, conducting audits, managing quality systems, resolving quality issues, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the ongoing development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) by ensuring procedures are documented, implemented, maintained, and effectively audited. Develop, implement, and maintain standardized work processes that improve consistency, operational efficiency, and product quality across all departments. Plan, conduct, and document internal audits on time to verify compliance with QMS requirements, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and applicable industry specifications. Manage the site calibration program, ensuring measurement equipment is properly controlled, calibrated, traceable, and documented in accordance with established requirements. Maintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection documentation, and processes related to nonconforming product control and product disposition. Participate in cross-functional meetings to evaluate operational status, establish priorities, and recommend solutions to quality and process-related challenges. Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of quality issues. Review customer contracts, technical specifications, procedures, and procurement requirements to identify impacts on company processes and quality requirements. Ensure quality documentation, process specifications, and contractual requirements are thoroughly reviewed and maintained for customer programs. Resolve supplier quality issues and collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance with quality expectations and requirements. Manage supplier quality activities, including supplier performance metrics, supplier audits, approvals, and improvement initiatives. Lead and support process improvement and efficiency improvement projects throughout the organization. Analyze product and process nonconformances, identify negative trends and risks, communicate findings to management, and recommend improvement actions.

Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies. Demonstrate commitment to company values and maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to develop process maps and create, revise, and maintain procedures, work instructions, and training materials. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $90,000 USD
  • $120,000 USD annually.

Requirements:
Education /
Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred with 3-5 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant quality experience may be considered. Must have ability to obtain ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification within one year of hire.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :
The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and lift up to 25 pounds. Move inventory in various configurations using PPE and proper techniques. Regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Frequently required to talk or listen. Works in moderate noise levels. Ability to travel up to 10-20% as required for supplier audits, customer meetings, or training.
