As a Technical Quoting Specialist, you'll work with our customers, the sales team, and our tooling engineers. You'll bring technical expertise and excellent communication skills to every interaction — ensuring our customers get the best tooling solutions for their needs. Principle Duties & Responsibilities Analyze customer specifications and drawing files to ensure feasibility. Generate detailed and accurate quotes for standard and custom tooling, including punches, dies, special forms, and press brake tooling. Collaborate with engineering and sales team to ensure feasibility, proper design considerations, and accurate costing. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to customers and internal sales teams regarding tooling selection, materials, coatings, and tolerances. Assist in troubleshooting tooling applications and addressing customer concerns related to performance or design. Calculate load requirements and verify product specifications to ensure tooling meets TRUMPF and customer standards. Experience Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, especially in tooling for forming, and bending applications strongly desired. Ability to conceptualize punch & die designs based on customer requirements. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD files, and product specs. Strong communication skills — both verbal and written — with a solution-oriented approach. Experience with SolidWorks, SAP, and MS Excel is preferred. Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. A minimum of 2 years of technical experience in tooling or sheet metal fabrication required.
