Location US-CT-Groton Seat Location EB Groton Shipyard Trade Engineering Shift 1st Security Clearance Required Secret Overview The Payload Launch Control department applies highly diversified skills to produce payload launch control electronic systems for US Navy nuclear submarines supporting the VIRGINIA, SSNX, AUKUS and other payload platforms. Responsibilities of the various groups within the department include concept formulation, system design and development, requirements definition, hardware/software integration, system/payload/platform integration, component and system qualification, vendor oversight, system trainer development, product production and delivery, and project management. Team members work collaboratively with supporting multi-disciplinary engineers, draftsmen, deck plate technicians, company and government program offices, vendors and military personnel for new construction and delivered submarines implementing new designs and capabilities or troubleshooting and addressing construction or fleet identified problems. The team largely consists of systems, mechanical, software and test engineers as well as USN veterans with Combat System at sea operational experience that creates a diverse and creative work group. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent 5+ years of US military or defense industry Weapons System experience Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance Preferred Knowledge of CMMI and Systems Engineering Principles Project Management Experience Skills Strong organizational, teaming, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to function independently and cooperatively Highly motivated and success driven Join our talent pools, get job alerts, and see EB news We can recommend jobs specifically for you!
