Qualifications Required Skills Education:
BS in Mechanical Engineering.Experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience required in product engineering or a related field; 5+ years preferred. Strong background in mechanical design and/or mechanical systems; 4+ years preferred. Manufacturing experience required, including exposure to production processes, cross-functional collaboration, or design for manufacturability.Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Extensive experience with SolidWorks 2D/3D modeling software required Enterprise PDM. SolidWorks Professional Mechancial Design proficiency. Product compliance and Environmental Process knowledge. Utilization of DFMA tools to reduce product complexity and cost. Experience with device-level physical packaging & production processes Materials design (Plastic, metals, composites). Manufacturing Process knowledge.MIG & TIG
welding. Powdercoat paint processes. IMD, IML, screen-print, pad-print decorative techniques. Anodize and Electrolysis-coating processes. Preferred knowledge and/or experience with product engineering requirements Engineering documentation, BOM, material management & outsource management. Experience and/or expertise with datacenter racking and cable management. Plastic mold flow and tool design. Product Packaging design. Metric design techniques. Tolerance stack-up analysis. Structural FEM/FEA methods and procedures. Thermal management CFD methods and procedures. Engineering ECN process implementation. Product production (prototype to production transition, production test plan, DFMA). Product quality and reliability (environmental test, stress test etc). Product safety, Sustainability & Eco-Design principles, and other regulatory requirements (UL, CE, RoHS). BOM data management.ISO-9001
documentation principles. Color theory. 3d print technology. Rendering design experience a plus. Must have strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and data base software, e-mail and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively. Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be-able-to effectively handle multiple priorities. Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control a-number-of projects at various stages of work. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be-able-to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information. Must have strong scientific analytical skills and proven ability to efficiently research and summarize information in an effective manner and make recommendations based upon analysis. Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment. Fosters open communication and support an environment of innovation and creative change. Willing to travel as necessary.Salary Range:
