Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a renovation project at a high school. This role involves reviewing designs, reading blueprints, understanding change orders, conducting inspections, and creating punch lists to ensure project success. Responsibilities Review and evaluate design plans and documents. Read and interpret blueprints accurately. Understand and review change orders for project adjustments. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure quality and compliance. Create comprehensive punch lists for project completion. Work collaboratively with different subcontractors. Write detailed reports and communicate effectively with various teams. Essential Skills Proficiency in mechanical engineering, commissioning, and quality control. Experience with field inspection and mechanical construction. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems in large commercial buildings. Ability to perform quality control and quality assurance on mechanical blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of commissioning processes. Ability to write and communicate effectively. Familiarity with other trade knowledge is advantageous. Work Environment This position requires on-site presence at a high school undergoing renovation. The project involves making upgrades and changes to the HVAC systems. This is a five-month contract role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
