Core Technologies:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Public cloud infrastructure concepts and technologies\r\n Automating processes with a scripting language\r\n Configuration management tooling\r\n Software version control system\r\n\r\n\r\nIncumbents work under general supervision of a Telecom Technologist Lead. Employees are assigned duties that provide skilled technical support and project leadership to solve complex business and technology problems. The incumbent serves as a primary point of contact that partners with internal business and development stakeholders to develop infrastructure architecture that supports the rapidly growing and evolving infrastructure needs. The role is responsible for maintaining and creating relevant and up-to-date infrastructure documentation for all deployed systems and cross-training. This position serves as the Level/Tier 3 support and escalates more complex issues. Provides training and mentoring for less experienced team members as needed.\r\n Selective Requirement Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job requirements.� Applicants who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED.\r\n\r\n\r\n Preferred Qualification Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Possess a Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, I/T discipline or a related field.\r\n Cloud Architecture/Engineering/Security related certifications preferred.\r\n\r\n\r\n Essential Functions Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for the position.�Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Build, design, deploy, maintain and lead the implementation of�public cloud�infrastructure solutions across multiple�offerings, e.g. AWS, Google�Cloud,�and Microsoft Azure.\r\n Manage and optimize public cloud environments in accordance with DTI security guidelines.\r\n Provide foundational infrastructure for public cloud (compute, storage, network, security, and service availability).\r\n Provide developer-friendly cloud onboarding, account creation and management for supported cloud providers.�\r\n Provide cloud network services to enable a fast and resilient hybrid cloud with built in security capabilities.�\r\n Collaborate with engineering and developer teams to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions.\r\n Deliver industry standard tooling and capabilities needed to enable a public cloud strategy.\r\n Utilize industry standard tools and best practices to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.\r\n Develop, cascade, and enforce engineering best practices using modern Software Design Life Cycle (SDLC) that enables CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure, and policy as code.�\r\n Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated guidance as required.\r\n Provide technical leadership in the design of highly complex cloud systems.�\r\n Drive client satisfaction by identifying and developing process improvement and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance of solutions to operations roadmap.\r\n\r\n\r\n Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
for DTI Senior\r\nTelecom Technologist\r\nApplicants\r\nmust have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in\r\neach of the following areas:�\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience automating tasks\r\n with a scripting language.\r\n Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience developing CI/CD\r\n pipelines.\r\n Possess a minimum of four (4) years of experience working in a\r\n distributed, cloud-based environment using Azure/AWS/GCP\r\n Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with\r\n Microsoft Office applications and virtual meeting tools.\r\n Possess good communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Additional Posting Information DTI retains the right to close the job posting\r\nprior to the listed application deadline, should a business need warrant it.\r\n Conditions of Hire Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based\r\ncriminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required\r\nas a Condition of Hire.\r\nAll applicants\r\nmust be legally authorized to work in the United States.
