Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical / Structural Engineer Overview Seeking a Mechanical/Structural Engineer to support the design and analysis of structural components and assemblies for government-funded programs. This role involves hands-on design work, structural analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Design structural components, subsystems, and assemblies based on system requirements and program specifications Perform structural/mechanical analyses (stress, deflection, loads, margins of safety, tolerance stack-ups) to validate designs Develop material and component requirements aligned with performance, safety, and contract requirements Utilize NX for 3D modeling and design, ensuring proper GD&T application Apply engineering principles, standards, and lessons learned from legacy designs Conduct trade studies to evaluate materials, configurations, and design alternatives Define and solve engineering problems using analytical methods and sound assumptions Prepare calculations, analysis reports, and technical documentation for design reviews Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement feedback Ensure all work meets internal, industry, and government standards Support documentation, configuration control, and release processes Required Skills NX (Siemens NX)

• strong CAD modeling and design experience GD&T
• solid understanding and application Structural/Mechanical Analysis
• stress, loads, tolerance analysis Preferred Tools ANSYS, Abaqus (FEA analysis experience) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) 3-7 years of relevant mechanical/structural design experience Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46
