Senior Mechanical Engineer - HVAC / Plumbing / Building SystemsTampa, FL | HybridA leading MEP engineering group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead complex building projects across commercial, healthcare, education, mixed‑use, and mission‑critical sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives in technical leadership, client-facing roles, and mentoring developing engineers.

What You'll DoLead mechanical system design, including HVAC, hydronic systems, air distribution, and building controlsOversee plumbing system design (domestic water, sanitary, storm, medical gas, and specialty systems)Develop and review drawings, specifications, load calculations, and equipment selectionsCoordinate closely with architectural and multidisciplinary MEP teamsServe as project engineer, managing scope, schedule, budgets, and technical qualityAttend client meetings, perform site assessments, and provide construction‑phase supportMentor junior engineers/designers and provide technical leadership across the teamWhat We're Looking For10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building systemsActive Professional Engineer (PE) license requiredStrong background in HVAC and plumbing design, codes, and industry standardsProficiency in Revit and AutoCADExperience with commercial, healthcare, education, mixed‑use, or mission‑critical environmentsStrong communication skills and ability to manage client relationshipsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
