  • $40•$45/hr We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position Mechanical Engineer to work in Athens, GA on Onsite basis.
Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Provide mechanical design and engineering support across product development and cost-reduction initiatives for Refrigeration Truck and Trailers Units.
  • Identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities across products, components, and assemblies.
  • Develop, modify, and optimize 3D models, CAD designs, and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Perform CAE analysis, including FEA Structural, Vibrational and Fatigue analysis as required.
  • Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) including analysis, documentation, and closure.
  • Propose and implement cost-optimized design changes without compromising functionality or quality.
  • Perform design rationalization, alternate part introduction, and material optimization.
  • Analyze savings potential and support savings validation and governance reviews such as TRB/QRB process with stakeholders to confirm the design feasibility and robustness. Project Management activities:
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reviews and status reporting.
  • Prepare technical documentation, design change summaries, and management presentations.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings, follow-ups, and closure activities.
