Senior Mechanical Engineer - Atlanta, GeorgiaDesign Meaningful Spaces in Healthcare and Higher Education About the OpportunityA well-established and respected MEP consulting firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Atlanta office. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, particularly within higher education and healthcare environments. The firm is known for its technical excellence, collaborative culture, and commitment to delivering high-performance building systems. Role OverviewThe Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead mechanical design efforts for complex institutional projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for large-scale healthcare and university buildings.

Produce construction documents, specifications, and system layouts using Revit and AutoCAD.Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive design.

Conduct site visits and field investigations to support design development and construction administration.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Participate in project planning, budgeting, and client presentations.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design for buildings.

Proven experience in higher education and/or healthcare projects.

PE licensure strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and energy modeling tools.

Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, building codes, and sustainability principles.
