Tooling Engineering Scope The Tooling Project Engineer provides end-to-end coordination for tooling projects, from initial cost/quote activity through build, qualification, and launch. This role exists to keep tooling on schedule, aligned to print, and performing to expectations while supporting customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Obtain and compare tooling quotations; track progress from kickoff through completion Support plastic injection mold and related tooling design; review CAD and prints for manufacturability Partner with customers on part design for moldability and tooling strategy Identify/qualify mold vendors, maintain supplier relationships, and manage project communication Troubleshoot molds that are not meeting performance requirements; drive root-cause and corrective actions Define and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) requirements for molds Required qualifications: Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering CAD/computer proficiency and ability to read blueprints Journeyman mold maker; 5-10 years as a mold maker and/or mold design engineer If you're ready to lead tooling projects with precision and follow procedures while adopting new technology, apply today.
