Test/Lab Engineer Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Test/Lab Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in planning and executing test projects, developing innovative test equipment, and supporting the growth of groundbreaking products and technologies. Responsibilities Plan test projects and establish timelines in collaboration with lab groups. Lead the creation of formal test plans, including Designs of Experiments (DOE's), work instructions, safety guidelines, and operating manuals. Identify and collaborate on test projects for the labs. Design test equipment and data acquisition systems to support testing. Create and install data acquisition programs. Develop piping and instrumentation drawings, and electrical and structural schematics. Collaborate with Production, Facility Maintenance, and others for lab facility modifications. Support tests alongside Engineers and Lab Technicians. Collect, manage, and analyze test data to confirm proper testing methods and accuracy of results. Diagnose and correct issues with equipment, software, and networks. Manage ongoing tests and test equipment, providing operational feedback to appropriate groups. Contribute to the development of new products and technologies with cross-functional teams. Assist in observing and investigating test articles and conducting engineering analysis. Coordinate with Engineers, Lab Manager, Lab Technicians, and other staff to ensure smooth operations. Guide Lab Technicians in performing maintenance, upgrades, and calibrations of equipment. Manage safety compliance and coordinate safety inspections of the lab and equipment. Assist in planning and tracking lab utilization, maintaining an exemplary lab and process. Essential Skills Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. 5+ years of industrial manufacturing experience within refrigeration or HVAC. Experience in a test lab environment. B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on refrigeration or HVAC. 5 years of experience or knowledge in refrigeration and HVAC. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with data acquisition system programming. Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as mechanical or electrical engineering. 1-5 years of work experience with refrigeration or HVAC equipment. Experience working in a lab environment. Work Environment This role is based within a test lab with around 20 people, part of a larger manufacturing site of approximately 1,000 employees. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Conyers, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Great 401k match, opportunity to grow.
