Job Description Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, installation, and implementation of large-scale automated material handling and conveyance systems. This role will work closely with project teams to develop installation drawings, coordinate system layouts, and ensure successful execution of automation projects within logistics and distribution environments. Create and modify AutoCAD 2D drawings, installation drawings, and layout packages. Support the design and implementation of conveyor and automated material handling systems. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams throughout project lifecycles. Review mechanical layouts to ensure equipment placement, clearances, and installation requirements are met. Assist with system design decisions related to conveyor lengths, routing, and large-scale automation solutions. Support field installation, commissioning, and project execution activities as needed. Participate in design reviews and provide engineering support during project delivery. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve engineering and installation issues. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience 7+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience without a degree. Proficiency with AutoCAD and creation of 2D installation/layout drawings. Experience working on project teams in a collaborative engineering environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to support large mechanical systems from design through installation. Experience with baggage handling systems, airport automation, or material handling systems. Experience supporting large-scale conveyor systems, automated distribution centers, or logistics facilities. Knowledge of industrial automation and mechanical integration projects. Familiarity with system layout design involving large equipment footprints and conveyance infrastructure.
