This role guides the successful completion of major engineering programs and supports the development and production of the company's aircraft, working with considerable latitude and minimal direct oversight. Responsibilities Select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues Serve as a recognized technical authority, consulted extensively by peers and associates Anticipate and resolve complex design issues creatively, developing standards and guides for engineering activities Balance technical, cost, and schedule considerations in problem-solving approach Work independently with results reviewed from a long-range perspective Exercise judgment in determining technical objectives and make authoritative recommendations Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field to recommend product and process improvements Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical curriculum (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 10 years of experience in a specific technical discipline, or 15 years of broad engineering experience across multiple disciplines Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees (up to 2 years for Master's, 4 years for PhD) Proficiency in CATIA V5 and SmarTeam / Team Center Advanced degree in engineering or related field preferred Preferred Background Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree with hands-on design experience Previous experience with a major business jet
