LeBrun Management Solutions (LMS) is seeking a Test Planner/Project Engineer to provide Test & Evaluation (T&E) expertise and technical support to AFLCMC System Program Offices (SPOs) at Robins AFB, GA, supporting the C-130, C-5, and C-17 aircraft. This position offers the opportunity to shape test planning, execution, and reporting for developmental and qualification test programs supporting these fleets. The selected candidate will serve as a technical advisor to the Robins Center Test Authority (CTA) and SPO customers, ensuring assigned test programs and test project tasks are technically sound, appropriately risk-mitigated, and meet or exceed performance and safety standards, while helping Program Offices stay on time and on cost. Benefits Company-sponsored IRA with 3% company match Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Professional development opportunities Key Responsibilities Work independently to plan, manage, coordinate, and evaluate specific Developmental/Qualification Test & Evaluation (DT&E/QT&E) ground and flight test projects performed in support of AFLCMC C-5, C-130, and C-17 program offices. Serve as a technical advisor to the Robins Center Test Authority (CTA), ensuring assigned test programs and test project tasks are technically sound with appropriate technical risk mitigation, meet or exceed performance and safety standards, and assist the SPOs in staying on-time and on-cost while reducing technical risk. Draft, review, coordinate, and approve the technical aspects of test plans, test procedures, technical review boards, safety review boards, test reports, and modification flight manuals. Analyze and interpret current and proposed T&E guidance to provide expertise in test management and in the application of test guidance; utilize research, critical thinking, creativity, and good judgment to evaluate and inform recommendations; keep test leadership advised of significant actions or challenges. Apply knowledge of the concepts, principles, and techniques of integrated technical and test engineering disciplines associated with aircraft/missile flight controls, flying qualities, performance, propulsion, and structures. Apply knowledge of laboratory, ground, and flight test conduct, coordination, data analysis/evaluation, technical report preparation, and test program planning. Plan, organize, and oversee ground and flight test programs, with appropriate coordination between electronic/aerospace/mechanical engineering, flight operations, and test disciplines. Communicate effectively with a broad range of personnel, both verbally and in writing. Travel occasionally to perform test coordination duties. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Test Execution experience. Minimum of 4 years of Test Program experience. B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering or Technical discipline. Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Formal Test Credentials (foundational or practitioner) from DAU (WarU) or equivalent. Developmental/Qualification Test Execution experience. Test Execution experience as a Flight Test Engineer or Test Director. Graduate of Edwards Test Pilot School (Pilot or Flight Test Engineer) or equivalent. Experience with multiple Air Force airframes (C-130 all variants, C-5, and C-17 preferred). Current Air Force Class III flight physical. The Ideal Candidate Will Have A strong background in Air Force Test & Evaluation and acquisition support for airlift and mobility aircraft (C-5, C-130, C-17). The ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to government test authorities and System Program Offices. Strong analytical, technical writing, and briefing skills. A proactive, mission-focused approach to solving complex test planning and execution challenges. The ability to work independently while coordinating effectively across multiple System Program Offices.
