Title:
Design Engineer, Drivetrain - 120277
Onsite/Remote:
Onsite Position As a Design Engineer, Drivetrain for JD Waterloo Product Engineering Center located in Waterloo, IA, you will: Develop and manage the tire & wheel portfolio in order to configure vehicles to support the myriad production systems: tires, wheels, hubs, extensions, wheel weights, etc. Develop part level requirements that support the vehicle requirements for performance and durability. Develop and release robust yet cost effective designs per program schedules. Contribute to the development of field and lab testing aimed at validating that the design fulfills part and system requirements. Drive the wheel & tire engineering team to a deeper understanding of optimizing vehicle performance through traction systems Proficient at designing and managing parts in PTC Creo, PDM, and SAP Demonstrated fluency with the configuration of complex portfolio options Experience working in cross functional teams Ability to foster relationships and working environments with suppliers Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new skills Experience as a part-responsible engineer for new development programs or continuous improvement Experience with various tractor applications and configurations and the geographic differences that influence customer needs Experience leading a group problem solving effort Experience driving for results with multinational suppliers Experience creating and troubleshooting complex assembly configurations Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelors or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
