$85,963 - $111,783/year About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced GD&T Specialist to support our New Product Development team by reviewing and improving engineering drawings. This role will ensure drawings are accurate, manufacturable, inspection-ready, and compliant with
ASME Y14.5-2018
standards. ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary GD&T resource for the NPD team.
Review engineering drawings for accuracy, GD&T, tolerances, and compliance.
Evaluate datum schemes, tolerance stack-ups, fit, form, function, and manufacturability.
Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Metrology, and suppliers.
Resolve GD&T and drawing issues related to manufacturing and inspection.
Develop GD&T guidelines, best practices, and training materials.
Mentor engineers and designers on practical GD&T application.
Support multiple projects while working independently on complex designs.
QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree OR 10+ years without a Bachelor's Degree.
Advanced knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2018.Hands-on manufacturing and/or inspection experience.
Strong understanding of machining, metrology, CMM, and gaging.
Preferred:
GD&T certification, NPD/R D experience, experience creating engineering standards or training materials, and advanced Creo/Windchill or CAD experience.
